At Paul Smith’s College, we believe in learning by doing. Our curriculum is built on the fundamentals of disaster science with opportunities to craft your own path for your future career.
Bachelor of Science / 120 Credits
From technical rescue to GIS, our hands-on courses will help you build your resume before you graduate, with the skills and certifications most in-demand in our industry.
Internships leading to job offers.
Learning opportunities do not stop in the classroom. This means getting out of the classroom, using practical drills to simulate real-world experiences. Our extensive local network means you can join the local fire department, search and rescue team, or emergency medical squad. We will introduce you to seasoned professionals, whether as a guest in our classroom or by traveling to their field office, including our annual trip to the New York State Office of Emergency Management.
